This extension incorporates a two level building with trafficable interstitial spaces for mechanical, cabling and pipe work. The restricted footprint needed to accommodate existing floor levels, pedestrian links and a four hour wall separating the flammable manufacturing and bulk storage components from the balance of uses.  Utilising a concrete frame and structural shell, it was wrapped in a thermally efficient roof and skin.
